Bold Journey

“If you open my closet, you will find piles and piles of old artwork. Endless hours of my time and my emotional journeys collecting dust. The stacks of discarded artwork have built the stairway allowing me access to my path today and in ten years, today’s artwork will continue building the stairs. As artists we are always growing until the day we die but my hope is that I will live on forever through my artwork.”

Shout Out Colorado

Today I’m proud to have my own art studio in the RiNo art district and I travel throughout Colorado to several art festivals each summer to display my art. Getting where I am today has taken an intense amount of hard work and sacrifice that I can hardly describe in a few sentences. I have focused my entire life on this dream and I am happy to be living it. Before moving into my my current art studio just this October, I previously shared a studio space with two others for seven years. Before that I had only a small poorly lit spare bedroom in my home. Before that I had a space in a terrible unfinished basement that often flooded. It’s important to look back and see the progress of where I started and where I am today. I certainly didn’t just snap my fingers and arrive here, it has taken a lifetime of sacrifices, hard work and dedication.”

“I’d like to give a shoutout to my family and friend who have supported my artwork over the years, through its lows and highs. My parents in particular inspired me to pursue my art from a young age. My husband and daughter have traveled with me to numerous art festivals over the years and have always been there to support my passion. Thank you.”

Denver Life

I moved to Denver because, as they say, the mountains were calling. I have a lifelong passion for painting and when I was a little girl, my grandmother would take me to the Art Institute and I would stare at Monet’s paintings for hours. My art is influenced by impressionism but with a modern, psychedelic flare that I call electro-impressionism. I like to use abstractive colors and broken brushstrokes to slightly distort the image to convey that magical feeling I get every time I look at a mountain view.”

Voyage Denver

After moving to Denver, I continued painting cityscapes for a few years but soon after, I changed my focus to natural landscapes. Much of my work today is directly influenced by the Colorado landscape. In my pieces, I aim to capture the positivity and peace that these locations bring me. I am creating a dream world rather than focusing on realism.”
