Emily Dwan is a Morrison, Colorado-based visual artist working in acrylic painting and stained glass mosaics. Through her signature style, Electro Impressionism, she reimagines landscapes with heightened color and expressive brushwork, capturing the unseen energy of nature.
In parallel, her stained glass mosaics transform unconventional canvases, including antique skis and musical instruments, into luminous works of light and movement.
Across mediums, Emily’s mission is to create art that uplifts and inspires, inviting viewers to rediscover beauty, pause in joy, and reconnect with the vibrancy of the natural world. She also welcomes custom commissions, collaborating with collectors and businesses to create deeply personal, transformative pieces.

Inspiration
This piece has been quietly taking shape in my mind for years. Its inspiration finally arrived through an unexpected moment when a beautiful handmade mug by my talented friend, local ceramic artist Peter Karner, tragically broke. As I looked down at the shattered fragments and the intricate hand-painted patterns scattered before me, I felt an immediate spark of inspiration. In that moment, I knew it was finally time to bring this vision to life.
During the creation of this mosaic, I have been deeply immersed in meditation and the practice of awakening my third eye. To me, the reflective and iridescent qualities of the stained glass symbolize the ever-shifting perspectives we experience throughout this journey called life. Every season, every emotion, and every passing moment offers us a new way of seeing. Much like our own evolving consciousness, this piece transforms continuously as light changes, reflections shift, and the viewer moves around it, revealing new layers and hidden dimensions with every glance.
Inspired by the spirit of a moonlit horse, this piece weaves together fragments of stained glass, vintage pottery, and echoes of past lives into a dreamlike composition filled with movement, mystery, and reflection. The horse becomes both guide and mirror, carrying the viewer through an ethereal landscape of memory, transformation, and awakening.
Technique & Materials
Handcrafted from stained glass, mirror, crystals, vintage china, repurposed pottery and carefully curated found objects, this mosaic is a richly textured experience designed to shift and shimmer with changing light. Reflection and movement bring the piece to life, allowing the viewer and the surrounding environment to become part of the composition itself.
Created on a custom-built birch wood panel, the artwork arrives ready to hang with professional French cleat hardware already installed. The mosaic wraps seamlessly around the edges of the panel, allowing the piece to be experienced beautifully from every angle.

This artwork may be picked up free of charge from my studio in Morrison or delivered complimentary within approximately two hours of Morrison, Colorado.
The piece can also be professionally shipped anywhere within the United States, fully insured in a custom-built wooden crate. For collectors located outside the continental United States, please contact me directly for a custom shipping quote.
Returns
If your artwork arrives damaged or incorrect, I will gladly coordinate a return and offer either a replacement or a refund. All artwork ships fully insured for peace of mind.

Inspiration
The butterfly’s transformation has long symbolized renewal, growth, and the beauty of becoming. Much like the butterfly, each of us moves through our own metamorphosis throughout life — continuously evolving, learning, and awakening to new perspectives.
