Emily Dwan is a Morrison, Colorado-based visual artist working in acrylic painting and stained glass mosaics. Through her signature style, Electro Impressionism, she reimagines landscapes with heightened color and expressive brushwork, capturing the unseen energy of nature.
In parallel, her stained glass mosaics transform unconventional canvases, including antique skis and musical instruments, into luminous works of light and movement.
Across mediums, Emily’s mission is to create art that uplifts and inspires, inviting viewers to rediscover beauty, pause in joy, and reconnect with the vibrancy of the natural world. She also welcomes custom commissions, collaborating with collectors and businesses to create deeply personal, transformative pieces.

This piece was inspired by a road trip through Arizona years ago. As someone originally from the Midwest, the Sonoran Desert completely captivated me—the vastness, the light, and the quiet energy of the landscape felt unlike anywhere else. I wanted to capture the awe-inspiring sunsets and the way sunlight dances across the desert brush and cacti. Using an unexpected color palette and thick, textural paint, I aimed to celebrate the vibrant contrasts and timeless beauty of the desert.
Painted on a birchwood cradled panel, the natural wood edges are beautifully sealed to highlight the organic warmth of the birch—an intentional nod to the earthy tones and natural textures of the desert itself.
